How to Fit a Spreadsheet to One PDF Page

Learn how to fit an Excel spreadsheet onto one PDF page without cutting off columns or making the text unreadable.

Start With the Real Print Range

A sheet may contain formatting or old values far outside the visible table. Remove unused rows and columns, or set the print area to the exact range you want in the PDF.

This prevents the converter from trying to fit empty space onto the page.

Use Orientation and Scaling Carefully

Landscape orientation helps wide tables. Scaling can fit more columns, but aggressive scaling makes numbers, notes, and chart labels hard to read.

If the sheet becomes unreadable on one page, split it into logical sections instead of forcing everything into a single page.

Convert and Check Edges

After preparing the sheet, use Excel to PDF and inspect the left, right, top, and bottom edges. For the broader process, return to the Excel to PDF guide.
