Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 26, 2026
DocsMe is built around a simple principle: your files are yours. This Privacy Policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not collect.
1. What We Collect
We collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics: page views, session duration, browser and device type, and which tools you access. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information, and we never collect the contents of files you process.
2. Local Processing
Most DocsMe tools process files entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and browser-native APIs. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers for these operations. PDF compression, merging, splitting, image conversion, and resume building all run locally on your device.
3. Server-Side Processing
A small number of operations require our servers. When server processing is required, your file is transmitted over an encrypted connection, processed, and deleted immediately the moment your download begins. We do not retain, analyze, or back up these files.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how our tools are used. This data includes page views, geographic region (country-level only), session duration, and device type. Analytics events never include file names, file contents, or personal information. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. Google AdSense
We display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free operation of our services. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to DocsMe or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's Ads Settings page.
6. Cookies
DocsMe uses two categories of cookies: analytics cookies (set by Google Analytics to measure usage) and advertising cookies (set by Google AdSense for ad delivery). We do not use functional or tracking cookies beyond these. Your browser's local storage saves your theme preference (light or dark mode); this data never leaves your device.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, there is no personal profile to access or delete. For any questions about data associated with your use of DocsMe, please contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
