Prepare the Images First
Put all images in one folder, remove duplicates, rename files in the order you want, and rotate sideways photos before conversion. This is faster than fixing the PDF after export.
For scanned documents, check that every page is readable at normal zoom and that no corners are missing.
Choose One Page Strategy
